BB Codes
BB code is the portal's replacement for HTML. Not only is it much safer, but it also allows the administrator to create new codes for you to use. BB codes are always enclosed in [brackets]. Some also have an additional option, in the form of [color=red]test text[/color]. Below, some of the most common BB codes are listed. Contact your administrator for information about any codes he/she may have added.

[b] Bold [/b]
The [b] tag is used to make text bold.
Example: This text is bold. ([b]This text is bold.[/b])

[i] Italics [/i]
The [i] tag is used to make text italicized.
Example: This text is in italics. ([i]This text is in italics.[/i])

[u] Underlined [/u]
The [u] tag is used to make text underlined.
Example: This text is underlined. ([u]This text is underlined.[/u])

[email] Email address [/email]
The [email] tag is used to create links to email addresses. If an optional parameter is specified, you can change the text of the link that appears.

[url] Website address [/url]
The [url] tag is used to create links to webpages. If an optional parameter is specified, you can change the text of the link that appears.

[img] Image [/img]
The [img] tag is used to include images in a post.

[quote] Quoted post [/quote]
The [quote] tag is used to place a selection of text inside a specially formated quotation box.
Example: quote: ([quote]Testing quoted text.[/quote])

[size] Text size [/size]
The [size] tag is used to change the size of text. The required option specifies the size of the text, and can be: xx-small, x-small, small, medium, large, x-large, or xx-large.
Example: Large text. ([size=large]Large text.[/size])

[color] Text color [/color]
The [color] tag is used to change the color of text. The required option specifies the color of the text.
Example: Red text. ([color=red]Red text.[/color])

[font] Font [/font]
The [font] tag is used to change the font used for text. The required option specifies the font.
Example: Courier font. ([font=courier]Courier font.[/font])

[item] List item [/item]
The [item] tag is used to place text into a bulleted list.

Smilies
Smilies, or emoticons, are little symbols (often smilie faces), that replace text such as :) with a picture, such as  . Listed below are the smilies enabled on this forum:
